1880: Emily Stowe becomes the first female physician licensed to practice medicine in Canada. Suddenly millions of Canadian men sign up for a hernia exam.





1956: Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus closes its very last "Big Tent" show in Pittsburgh… but waits until 1957 to finish cleaning up the elephant poop.





1965: The Mont Blanc Tunnel linking France and Italy opens… of course, we’re talking about French and Italian engineering here, so the tunnel was obviously built by the British.
