Tax Day
Today is Tax Day for millions of Americans... this might be a good day for government workers to at least look busy.

$5 a Gallon!
Some gas station across the country are now charging $5 a gallon. That would really hurt if people actually had jobs to drive to.

Already Recovered?
President Obama tells the Associated Press he plans to take credit for fixing the economy in the 2012 presidential campaign. Isn't that kind of like charging someone for gas when the car is still in the shop?

Cooperation
Who says there's no bipartisanship in Washington? Right now, a Republican Fed Chairman is lending money to the Democrat Treasury Secretary so he can give it to our Socialist President!

Special Session
Alaska Governor Sean Parnell has called a special legislative session in Juneau... not because of any political crisis, but just to see if everyone survived the winter.

April 18th

1936: The first Champions Day is celebrated in Detroit, Michigan. Since this is Detroit, the event has now been named “Guys Who Didn’t Get Laid Off Day.”

1958: A United States federal court rules that poet Ezra Pound is to be released from an insane asylum… and replaced with everyone who reads his poetry.

1981: The longest professional baseball game, (33 innings), begins in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. By the time the game ends the floors of both dugouts are buried in 16 feet of tobacco juice.
