Unions vs. Dems
The nation's biggest labor unions are now turning against the Democrats' health care reform bill. Union leaders soured on the plan when they learned that even with free health care, you still have to show up at the doctor's office on time.

Safer Hamburgers
More than 70,000 Americans fall ill each year by eating tainted hamburgers. The FDA is working hard to make beef safer, so 700,000 Americans can continue dying every year from heart disease.

Goldman Earnings
Goldman Sachs has blown away estimates with a better than expected $5.25 earnings per share profit in the third quarter. Actually, it was $6.25 per share, but Goldman executives needed to spend that extra money on bullet-proof limos.

Young for Old
Senate Democrats are working on a plan to have young and healthy Americans pay a lot more for health insurance to help subsidize coverage for older and sicker Americans. For elderly people everywhere who have sent their grandkids checks for every birthday and didn't get a thank-you note, this is payback time!

Globe Stays
The New York Times Company has decided not to sell The Boston Globe. This way, the Globe can be the paper that breaks the news of the Times going out of business.
