Obama Success
President Obama is enjoying universal praise for his strong and decisive conduct in bringing down Osama bin Laden. It's working out so well for him that he's now wearing a "What Would Bush Do" bracelet.

Tax Issues
A new study shows that 51% of Americans owed NO federal taxes in 2009. That's because 51% of Americans were working for the federal government in 2009.

Gas Pains
The average gas price in Chicago is now $4.35... which makes paying at the pump only slightly more disappointing than being a Cubs fan.

Loan Stiffs
The number of people defaulting on their student loans doubled in 2010. Of course, the best way to get well-educated college grads to pay up is to take away their unemployment checks.

Federal Pay
More than 18,000 federal workers now make more than $180K per year. That's 1,000 workers making that inflated salary and 17,000 workers printing the worthless money to pay them.

1837: The University of Athens is founded. As a plus, several Greek fraternities are all already in place!

1921: West Virginia imposes the first state sales tax…. and all that state’s expenses and costs have been covered ever since.

1948: The U.S. Supreme Court rules that covenants prohibiting the sale of real estate to blacks and other minorities are legally unenforceable… but covenants keeping whites out of public housing were 100% okay.
